Auctions

Several auctions take place throughout the two-day event, including the Quilt Auction, Silent Auction, Country Auction, Coin Auction, and Children’s Auction. The auctions feature handmade quilts, wall hangings, and comforters; unique gift items, collectibles, and art; antiques, furniture, and outdoor items; and books, toys, and more.

My Coins count

Mennonite and Brethren in Christ churches across North America participate in My Coins Count. Coins collected throughout the year are taken annually to Relief Sales for counting, sorting, and depositing. The Pennsylvania Relief Sale is pleased to be a part of this effort. Join the effort by collecting coins and bring them to the Pennsylvania Relief Sale!

Activities & ENtertainment

The Pennsylvania Relief Sale has something for everyone. For kids, there are activities and play areas, balloon twisting, and other special events, including a Children’s Auction on both days. For all ages to enjoy, a musical group performs on Friday evening, quilting demonstrations take place throughout the event, and visitors can shop, eat, and socialize their way around the sale.

Crafts, goods, Food, & More

In addition to the various auctions and activities, attendees can shop at Ten Thousand Villages, Craft Stand, Plant Stand, Quilters’ Attic, New and Used Books, Share-A-Meal, MCC Stand, and more. One of the major attractions at the Relief Sale is the food! There is something for everyone - from homemade donuts and ice cream to soups, salads, sandwiches, and pizza.

Get Involved

There are several ways to get involved:

  • Donate: finished quilts and comforters for the Quilt Auction, or items for the Silent Auction, Country Auction, or Quilters’ Attic Stand are welcomed.

  • Volunteer: needs include before, during, and after the sale. Many hands make for light work. It is an opportunity to earn hours that can be applied towards volunteer or service hours for schools, work, or other organizations.

  • East and West Banquets: Join in fellowship to help offset the costs of operating the sale. Banquets are funded through sponsorships. To sponsor or donate, contact 717-208-4152 or info@pareliefsale.org. Tickets to the banquets are free but reservations are required. Banquets take place in February and March each year.

  • Attend an event: Concerts, Quilt Previews, Heifer Sale, and more! Join us at these events throughout the year.
