The 62nd Annual Quilt Auction at the Pennsylvania Relief Sale celebrated the work of numerous artists and needle workers. The 2018 Quilt Auction raised $115,635!
Quilters spend hours choosing patterns and fabric, piecing, appliqueing, embroidering, quilting, and finishing. Hundreds of people attend the two-day live auction to view and bid on the region’s finest handcrafted quilts.Friday’s auction on April 6, 2018 featured pieced quilts and wall hangings, as well as knotted comforters and pre-print items. Saturday’s auction on April 7, 2018 featured pieced, appliqued, and vintage quilts of all sizes.Reserved seating is available only for Saturday’s quilt auction and the cost is $10 per chair. Seats may be reserved in person at the time of the auction or in advance by contacting Kim Wagner at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The theme of the 2018 Traveling Quilt was Food. The traveling quilt was auctioned on Saturday, April 7, during the Quilt Auction. Bids were accepted as donations to Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). The traveling quilt is not actually sold.
